Aleksey Romanov graduated from Saratov State University with a Master’s degree in 2018, the Department of Computer Science and Information Technologies. Now he is studying for the Ph.D. program there. Aleksey has over 3 years of experience in programming and software development. He joined Grid Dynamics as Junior Data Scientist in 2018, and since then has been working on multiple R&D projects related to applying deep learning in recommender systems and information retrieval.

Alex Rodin has over 18 years of experience in programming and software development, graduating from Saratov State University with a degree in Applied Mathematics in 2001. He then taught at Saratov for 10 years as a member of the Computer Sciences and Information Technologies faculty. Alex joined Grid Dynamics in 2009 as an Architect and Senior Staff Engineer, and has been with the company ever since. He is currently a Principal Software Engineer working on Machine Learning at Grid Dynamics Labs, our innovation center.

Conor McNamara is has been with Grid Dynamics since September 2017 as a Data scientist. He works primarily on building predictive models and machine learning projects. He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Statistics.

Dmitry Latnikov is a Delivery Director for Grid Dynamics. He currently works on multiple projects related to performance measurements, big data and mobile applications. He earned a Masters in Electronics (with honors) from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University in 2004.
Senior BigData Developer in Delivery
Dmitry started his career eight years ago after obtaining his Master’s Degree in computer science, but didn’t find his niche until six years ago, when he began working in the Big Data area. He joined Grid Dynamics 4.5 years ago, and has worked on various Big Data projects since. One of the major projects, iCrossing, was a huge success as we built a high-performing Big Data platform. Dmitry continues to work in Big Data for Grid Dynamics, and is currently on-site at a large retailer.
Dmitry Sobolev is a senior business analyst at Grid Dynamics since 2009, when he joined the company. His main area of expertise is perfecting product discovery for e-commerce stores. In the last 9 years at Grid he has participated in a number of different projects related to products search and navigation, search autocomplete, merchandizing rules, content management and business intelligence tools around product discovery. Dmitry earned a Master degree in Computer science from St. Petersburg University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics.

Dmitry has over 19 years of experience in IT and in 2013, he joined Grid Dynamics. Since then, he has been developing mobile e-commerce applications for several large US retailers. Dmitry graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in 1999 with an MS in Applied Mathematics.

Dmitry Yaraev is a Senior Big Data Engineer at Grid Dynamics. His responsibilities include design and implementation of distributed scalable applications, as well as R&D activities related to the Hadoop ecosystem. Eugene Steinberg is a Technical Fellow and founding engineer at Grid Dynamics. As a Principal Architect and Consultant, Eugene delivered some of the largest Grid Dynamics programs, from inception to production to maturing. His many interests include information retrieval, ecommerce and enterprise search, natural language processing, computer vision, as well as general science and art of building scalable distributed systems.
Eugene earned a PhD in Applied Math from Saratov State University.

Ilya joined Grid Dynamics in 2009, and since then has been leading engagements with a number of major retail and technology companies, focusing primarily on Big Data, Machine Learning, and Economic Modeling. He is currently managing the Industrial AI consulting practice that helps clients to become successful AI adopters and deliver innovate AI solutions. Prior to joining Grid Dynamics, Ilya worked at Intel Research on emerging wireless communication technologies. He is the author of several scientific articles and international patents, and also authored a book, “Introduction to Algorithmic Marketing: Artificial Intelligence for Marketing Operations” (2017).

Ivan is a big data engineer with years of experience in Java and BigData development for Telecom, IoT and Mobile Analytics domains. He has also been a frequent speaker at corporate TechTalks and Meetups on topics related to Spark and Cloud/Serverless computing technologies. he has a masters degree from Voronezh State University in Information Systems and Technologies.
Jehu Lee is a computer science major at UCLA. He interned as a UI Software Engineer at Grid Dynamics from June to September of 2019. He expects to complete my degree in December of 2019. His interests are in various areas of software development.

Jiaye Pan served as a Data Science summer intern at Grid Dynamics, where he worked on a topic modeling project to analyze mobile application reviews. He also worked on a R&D project under the guidance of CTO Victoria Livschitz. He will return to UCLA to finish his undergraduate degree in Statistics in Fall 2019.
Joseph Gorelik served as a summer intern at Grid Dynamics, where he worked on an in-streaming project using lexicographical tools to analyze the sentiment of tweets under the guidance of CTO Victoria Livschitz. He holds a BS in Statistics from UCLA. He will return to Grid Dynamics as a Junior Data scientist in Fall 2017.
Konstantin Perikov is a Search Architect and Senior Software Engineer who also leads a group of fellow software engineers in St. Petersburg, RU. He graduated from Tomsk State University in 2011 with a degree in Applied Mathematics.
Mariia Fedorova is a data scientist with expertise in natural language processing. She has a master's degree in Computational Linguistics from Higher School of Economics, Moscow.

Max Martynov joined Grid Dynamics in 2008 with a mission to establish and lead High Performance Computing practice. He is currently responsible for managing Grid Dynamics engineering staff, growing technical talent in the company, and performing architecture consulting for clients. During his tenure at Grid Dynamics, Max has been leading engagements with a number of major technology and retail companies, including Microsoft, Macy’s, Kohl’s, and JCPenney. Over the last decade, his technical focus evolved from HPC and scalable distributed platforms to Cloud, BigData, DevOps, and Microservices architecture.
Mikhail Khludnev holds an engineering degree from Russia’s Far Eastern Transport University. He started his career working with complex spatial analysis and geodetic software. Now, at Grid Dynamics, he specializes in e-commerce and Solr search, and has worked on a number of Solr migration projects for world-class retailers.
Mikhail Klokov is a QA team leader and experienced QA automation engineer. His skills include Scrum, Linux, Agile Methodologies, Requirements Analysis, and Test Planning, to name a few. In 2010 he was awarded an MS degree in Instrumentation by the St. Petersburg State University of Information Technology , Mechanics, and Optics.

Nina Pakhomova is a Senior Java Engineer for Grid Dynamics. Her areas of expertise include Machine Learning applications for e-commerce, including visual search, automatic product attribution and verification, distributed indexing with Solr for e-commerce management, and designing e-commerce search platforms based on Solr/Lucene. Nina holds a Masters degree in Mathematics and Mechanics from St. Petersburg State University.

Oleg Savrasov has extensive experience in architecting, designing and building J2EE applications. For the last few years he has been technical lead on a project that is building e-commerce search platforms for a major online retailer. He also leads Grid Dynamics’ contributions to the Solr/Lucene community. He earned his technical science PhD in 1998.

Pavel Katunin is a Senior iOS Developer who develops iOS applications and components. He is currently working on the Firebase iOS SDK onsite at a major client's location. He holds both Specialist and Master's degrees in Computer Science from Togliatti State University, but Pavel is always learning. He is currently studying machine learning, Python development, big data, and Information Security to augment his practical experience in these disciplines.

Sergei Parshev started his career as a Software Developer back in 2009, and joined Grid Dynamics in 2014 in DevOps. He has a great amount of experience in Linux, Clouds, Containers, CI/CD, Configuration Management, and Software Engineering, and has worked with many large clients over the years. For now, he continues to improve CI/CD automation, and works on adopting new technologies for superior software development processes management.

Sergey Parakhin has been working as a software engineer and a data scientist at Grid Dynamics since 2014. He's an expert in architecture for Big Data and DevOps platforms, and is considered a well-rounded software engineer by both co-workers and clients. Sergey Tryuber joined Grid Dynamics back in 2009 as a Full Stack Java Developer. It was only two years later, in 2011, when he took part in his first Hadoop project. That was a rising and romantic era of Big Data: MapReduce was the major batch processing paradigm, Column Families in Cassandra, and fewer companies cared about large scale in-stream processing. Some time later, the experience accumulated by Sergey’s team spread out all over the company. Many geographically distributed projects formed a united Big Data community exchanging their findings and experience. Sergey and many other great engineers helped lead this community. This development resulted in a set of best practices, reference architectures, and blueprints that helped Grid Dynamics be able to better position themselves on the market. In 2016, as a Technical Director in Big Data, Sergey and his team turned massive data processing into one of the strongest areas of Grid Dynamics’ expertise. However, Sergey left the company in 2017 to pursue his personal goals.
Sergey graduated from Saratov State Technical University with a degree of candidate of technical sciences. He started his engineering career in 2004, developing control systems for powerful diesel engines. As of 2018, Sergey is actively researching the possible integration of the Big Data technology stack into next-generation AI systems.

Victoria Livschitz founded Grid Dynamics in 2006 in order to bring big, new ideas, including open source, clouds, and Big Data, to large enterprises. Under her leadership, Grid Dynamics became a successful, fast-growing engineering IT services company known for transformative, mission-critical cloud solutions for retail, finance and technology sectors. In 2015, Victoria transitioned to the role of Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to founding Grid Dynamics, Victoria spent 10 years at Sun Microsystems in a variety of technical leadership positions including Principal Architect of SunGrid, the world's first public cloud; Senior Scientist at Sun Labs; and Chief Architect of Financial and Automotive Services; and Chief Architect of General Motors. Victoria started her career as HPC engineer for Ford Motor Company. Victoria received numerous awards for engineering excellence, including Sun Systems Engineer of the Year and the Ford Chairman’s Award. Victoria graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University and attended graduate programs at Purdue University and Stanford University.
Viswanath Chadalapaka is a Computer Science major at UC Davis, set to graduate in December 2020. Over 2019 summer, he interned at Grid Dynamics as a back-end developer. Although he would love to delve into computational theory, his interests lie primarily in the power that novel applications of software have to transform the lives of the general populous.
Vitalii Ruban is a Senior Android Developer who has 6+ years of experience in IT developing Android applications. He joined GridDynamics in 2013, and since that time has worked on developing e-commerce applications under the Android platform for several large US retailers.
Vitalii graduated from the National Aerospace University (KhAI) with a Master's degree and a "Computer Systems and Network" specialization.
